The corset is very cute and well made. The neck thing can be taken off the corset top if you want to wear the corset only, however, it will fall a lot if you don't wear it. The neck thing also needs to be tied in the back, which can be a bit complicated alone and the piece of transparent tissue between the corset and the neck can be a bit too long for some morphologies, so not fit perfectly and don't hold the corset properly. I recommend to sew straps on the corset if you need to.
