I ordered these pink pink velvet and they look so pretty in person~ More of a faux suede than a true velvet, and they're very soft! I am a US shoe size 8.5W or 9, and ordered EU size 40. They fit mostly pretty well, but after walking a while my little toe started to hurt because I've got wide feet, but I'd still say they fit me better than most lolita shoes I've owned! My calves are about 29cm around at the point of the topmost buckle, and there's still room to spare.
